I have a Monte SS w/a CZF transmission. Is the BRF much different? I've been told that the BRF has a higher stall convertor and a different valve body. I have a chance to get a BRF trans and I would be putting it behind a 355 SBC.

I have the chance to buy a '84 GN for $1000. But it is not worth restoring in my opinion. Is this too much for a parts car? I want the rearend if it is a 8.5 for my Monte Carlo SS. How many GN's were built in '84? Should I feel guilty for parting out a rare car?
