Thanks for the reply!
I must not have the schematic you have. Mine just shows the other side of the CEL going to a 10A fused pink/blk wire which I hooked it to.
I always was under the impression ECU's only grounded circuits likt Injectors, IACs, etc.
I wired up a Check engine light and ALDL Port on a Kit car that has a 84 GN engine transplanted into it. I wanted to check the codes to see if I could find a miss that has plagued the car since I got it running.
I wired up the ALDL port as follows to the wires going to the 434 connector off...
The tester is $110 plus I would need the Adapter.
I can ship this for little more than $5 each way so I don't see that as a big deal. Not to mention I work on these so little it would be a waste of money for me.
And NO, there is now one local that can help with this. There is a total of 1...
No Autozones around here. The only facility with a module tester was NAPA and they did not have the right adapter plug for this model of Module from an 84.
So again, can someone with a Casper tool please check this for me?
I WILL PAY YOU FOR DOING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me be more specific!!!!
I am trying to diagnos what I beieve is a bad TPS but the engine was transplanted into a Different car and I don't have a ALDL port to hook a scan tool to.
I measured the resistance accross terminals B&C and at closed throttle got 9.1KOhms. Most times when I...
Can someone check there TPS for Resistance across terminals B & C for me to compare mine with.
I think it's bad but not sure.
When you hit the gas it stalls and pops out of the turbo and wants to die.
Replaced the MAF but that didn't help.
It's a 84 TB in a kit car. Fuel pump is running.
You think the Module/Coil could be getting heat soak and not sparking?
I can try to check for spark but what if there is spark?
