    I have a 85 GN mostly stock. Adj. fp regulator, hot wire+ Walbaro fp, adj. wastegate. All the fun gauges....of course. Just tuned on it a little bit tonight.     after a couple of hours checking this morning, this is what happens. I cut the wg rod more and screwed it in a couple of turns. The boost seems to go up past 11 lbs, but it just feels like boost is coming in "sooner", then alot of black smoke. Just stabbing the throttle seems to give about 5-8...

    I just put both on my 85. The temp. goes right below the t-stat housing. (should have a single wire on it). You will have to drain some antifreeze or it will leak all over!!!     no, has not fixed the boost problem. I will test tomorrow. I will keep everybody informed. The ecm intermitant problem probably didn't help. I will disconnect the wastegate and see what happens. Thanks again, Dave

    My 85 has done the same thing for 6 months, found the problem about 10 minutes ago. Check the orange wire ,where it goes and plugs into the battery.(wire for the ecm). Disconnect it. Pull on the ends , and feel the wire......my wire looked brand new. After "feeling" down the wire I could feel it...

    I tried unhooking the wastegate, and went for a spin. The car wouldn't even run right. sputtered, ses light came on, and felt like it was missing. no codes. Reset the ecm, hooked everything up stock....now the car won't run right.... Dont know what to do. any more ideas???? Dave

    Get a good neoprene gasket, not a rope seal. I dont know how much it is to do.....let me know if you find out. I might try it myself...not sure yet... Dave
