    A Message FROM Gbodyparts.com!

I'm waiting for my rad and twin fans - I understand the logistics of the big move and the added problems of the storm. Anyone hear of any updates of an opening date to start filling orders?

    Need some help with Anti-Theft

On my first buying spree for my car were a kill switch and the cloumn collar. You can get your chips with anti-theft built in as well. IMHO the big ugly red collar is a must - it's a visual deterent for someone just looking to jack the first easy target. If they see your car with that collar and...

    repaint costs

I paid $3400CDN 2 years ago. Body was nice with no rust but when they stripped it the found the passenger door had been dented and filled with bondo. I had them take that out and pound it straight. I'm pretty happy with the job they did - biggest thing I think is go there every day and keep tabs...

    Stumble off the start

Hey guys Well my BLMs are much nicer now. 116-130 driving at various speeds and 122-130 at idle. She runs so nice again - starts good, idles smooth, pulls strong, and doesn't smell like a gas station anymore! Should I work towards having my BLM stay closer to 128? Tune thru chip or fuel...

    Stumble off the start

Update :) Checked the cam sensor and it was good. Sniffed the vac lines and they were all good. Then I got stumbing thru the Translator box again to make sure the dip switches were right I noticed that the BASE 'dial' for the maf selector was a bit off (ok - I actually forgot to change...

    Spark Plug Gap

Did a search for this and found guys using different gaps. What are the variables to consider when gapping plugs? gnttype.org recommends .035 yet some guys are going .032 or lower. Is it something a guy plays with on these cars or is there a guideline based on combo setup? Have a look at my sig...

    Stumble off the start

Fuel press is 45 with line off as per the instructions for the Translator - I had it set at 42 before this. I checked the dip switches at install and they were ON-ON-OFF-OFF...I will recheck to make sure. I'll check the cam sensor and canister too. Thing is before the conversion the car ran...

    Stumble off the start

Ok here it goes... I've had this stumbling problem for about a year. From a stop and hitting the gas(not even very much) and the motor seems to stumble and want to stalll. IAC and TPS are both good and are new so I don't suspect those. I figured it might be a MAF issue so I changed to the LT1...

    turbo shield question

I used a dremel with a cuttting wheel - actually had to use 2 cutting wheels. Use the template to mark your line and just take is slow. It cut pretty smooth with no real jagged edges or burn marks. I used some emory cloth just to finish it up.

    Opinion/experience on LT1 MAF conversion

Gents, Are there any perfomance gains from converting to the LT1 system? I have a fairly mild set-up and am not sure if it is of any benefit yet. Can the stock comp only calculate for 255gr/sec or can it calculate higher? Should a person go with an extender chip with the conversion? What if I...

Should I switch to Synthetic Oil

Well....here'e my take. I've had my TR for almost 2 years - love the car and want the best for it be it the best fuel, parts, or oil. Turbo anything and it runs pretty hot - synthetic can handle the heat and doesn't break down like dino. Now maybe dino is OK if you change it more often than...

    Hooker Exhaust Install Help

Thanks for the tips guys. Went in pretty easy except a couple bolts on the old DP elbow. Took the old system out, worked the down pipe in then worked backwards from the tailpipes. I had also set it up in the basement before the install to make sure it all fit, and I'm glad I did! One of the...

    Power Brake Fuse Blowing

Had the same problem - step on the brake and the fuse would go. Had a rebuit powermaster unit put in with no change. I ended up replacing the Accumulator "bulb" and that did the trick for me.
