Since I got my first model kit a 1987 grand national by monogram , which I won on a school fundraiser when I was eleven, My love for this car was born. Everything about this car fascinated me, I never got to see a real one until I was 15. I remember being so excite to finally see a Grand National in front of me at a store parking lot, my heart was racing, my parents got angry with me because I left them waiting in the car for at least 5 minutes. I didn't care, I was lost in its beauty until my dads loud angry "hijo deja ese carro!" which in English meant "son leave that car alone" snapped me out of my enchantment. My first car was a 1985 Buick regal which I bought when I was 15 with money I saved up working at a school over the summer. I always wanted to turn it into a clone GN but I never had the money to accomplish that. Finally the motor blew three years later and since then I never had the chance to own a real GN. 17 years, a wife and two kids later, my love for this car still festered. In September of this year I saw a craigslist ad for a we4 for 6k. I jumped at the chance. I was so excited that I never really looked at the car real good, to me it was perfect. Know that the adrenaline rush settled down a bit I'm realizing that this car needs a lot of work and I have no Idea what to do. Its going to be a long journey for me and my 12 yr. old son Manny, to get this car back to its glory days! I don't care how long it takes because I could finally say " I own a WE4 "
