LS1 Front Adapter Brackets, Who Makes 'Em?

I'm going to cut the rotors myself. I have a brake lathe over at my neighbors garage. I want to get the brackets first though. I can let you know when(probably within 3 weeks). It will be cheap $ if you want me to do it, but I can't promise exactly when. -Jeff

LS1 Front Adapter Brackets, Who Makes 'Em?

Hey Yullose, if you decide to make them, I would be interested in two sets. My brother has a milling machine that I could make them on, but it would probably take me all day. I wouldn't be looking forward to it. Please post back in this thread or email me at woodrowbuck@optonline.net if you...

    Posi Rebuild ?s

The clutches shown in those pictures appear to be for the Eaton style posi. The stock clutch plates for the GN usually have square tabs sticking out rather than rounded style ones like the Eaton posi's have. Also, I don't think the stock GN posi requires those little half moon shaped things...

Art Carr pan modification for 700 style filter

I want to use a 700 style filter with my Art Carr pan. Do the filter bosses at the bottom of the pan need to be completely removed or just cut down some. If they only need to be cut down some, how much height should still be left in the pan? Thanks for any info, Jeff

fluttering noise and lots of knock after I drop it off with a shop?

That situation really sucks! What probably happened is that the tech took the car out and wanted to see what it would do. Not knowing that a turbo motor likes to be loaded so it is forced to get the car moving with torque, he probably dropped the shifter down in first and romped on it up to six...

replaced wiped cam now I think I have a rod knock

Pull the pan and check out what things look like down there. Not to take away from the other guys that posted, but my friend's GN wiped the bearings after a head gasket failure, and we installed a set of rods and mains from under the car, and it's been running over 20,000 miles since with...
