    I recently received the May 2008 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine. It contains a 6 page article featuring Brad Conley's 1986 GNX prototype. There's also a story about a '71 GS drag car clone. I hope this isn't a repost, I couldn't find an earlier mention of the article. Stewart

    Click on the link at the bottom of my previous post. They may have them. If you do a web search on "Protech Hot Wheels" many other sources come up. My local K-Mart currently has a 10 pack of single car protectors clearance priced at $8 which includes an exclusive car.

    The city of Pontiac, Mi. and the car company were named for Pontiac, Chief of the Ottawa Indian tribe, who lived from 1720 to 1769.

    Actually just the bodies were produced in Flint then trucked to Pontiac, Mi. where they were mated to their chassis and completed. Then complete GN's were trucked to the ASC/McLaren plant in Livonia, just off I-96 for their conversion to GNX's. I believe the address is 34165 Autry St...
