    Harland roller rockers

I had the same problem with binding. When they assembled the rockers and spacers on the shafts they were not correct. I had to take the c-clips off the shaft ends and switch the position of the spacers , some are a little shorter than the others. Once I did that everything was silky-smooth.

    Bad engine vibration

This may be an optionn. The race shop that I was thinking of going to has a in house dyno and has lots of race experiance (Tesar Engineering, Long Lake, MN)

    Bad engine vibration

Ya, that is what has been in the back of my mind since the begining. I guess I'll just have to "bite the bullet" and pull everything apart and have it gone through again (different shop this time). Thanks for the input guys

    Bad engine vibration

It has a pilot bearing that fits in the end of the crank with a needle bearing center that fits the input shaft of the transmission.

    Bad engine vibration

Yes, from initial brreakin/start up. Addition info that I forgot to include in the original post. When the heads were originally done the shop did not cut the guides for the additional cam lift and on start up it destroyed all the seals...

    Bad engine vibration

Hey guys, (sorry for the long post) I need to pick your brains, this isn't a turbo but the basics should still apply. I have a NA 3.8 installed in a Porsche 914 :) It was balanced at a presumed good shop but is no longer in business (balancer, crank, rods, pistons, flywheel and pressure plate)...

Anyone in here ever put a Buick V6 in a 911 Porsche?

    Not a 911 but I'm doing a Porsche 914, the V6 fits like a glove Project 914 First Frive

    Nubee w/? about 1982 Regal 231/3.8

Fellow Hotrodder JT, I'm also building a resto-mod hotrod with a NA 3.8L V6 (German iron though). Check my web site for info on how I built my engine, there are several pages describing the mods and assembly. PHOENIXHOBBIES dot COM I just drove the car for the first time about two weeks...

    Valve stem seals and clearance

Well, I took the rest of the springs off and all 6 exhaust seals were destroyed the same. I took a few measurements and found that the guides have to be cut a lot. My cam exaust lift with 1.6 rockers is .512" add .060" and we have .572" I measured the retainer to seal distance and it's only...

    Valve stem seals and clearance

Spring update... Pulled the heads off and took off the #3 exaust spring and look what I found  Stepped valve stem with a seal! (stupid machine shop). I guess I'm going to look for a better shop that knows these engines.

    Valve stem seals and clearance

Thanks guys, I found an old book on V-6 Performance and it mentioned that the exhaust doesn't use a seal  is that a mis-print? I'll be pulling the heads and dropping them off to the shop to be checked out/disassebled/measured to clearances. Paul

    Valve stem seals and clearance

Newbie here  I've been lurking for a long time reading this forum for all of it's great info. I'm building a resto-mod with a 3.8 V6 NA (Turbo's little brother) I finally finished building it and fire it up last weekend with mixed results. I thought I had done all my homework and had...
