Looking for a tuner in the Chicago area with a load dyno

Craig, Do you have access to a load dyno? I want more than the standard WOT tuning. I am looking for maximum brake torque at all kpa and rpm cells, the rarely visited VE areas, etc. -Aaron

Looking for a tuner in the Chicago area with a load dyno

This is a repost from the turbo forums but I figured I would ask here since there is some serious history with the FAST here: Hi all, I am looking for a tuner in the Chicago area who has a load dyno for a full tune (part throttle, WOT, warmup, etc). I have read a few tuning books and...

    FAST GCT file database?

Why is that? I know it is default, but is there any other reason so leave it at 0? -Aaron

    FAST GCT file database?

I am somewhat new to tuning the fast and I was wondering if there was a database out there with tuning files that I could learn from. The VE and A/F tables are a bit more straightforward, but I want to see some examples of Air temp correction and spark tables set up for fuel economy. If...

    150 max VE for FAST?

We have used two guages, although both are referenced off of the same AFPR. Both read the same pressure. Idle is in the 60 kPa range if I remember correctly. -Aaron

    150 max VE for FAST?

Yup, so basically, we know the following is correct: MAP CID # of cylinders Injectors size That with VE is all the map uses to calc fuel, so I have no idea where I could be going wrong. Injector opening time is 1.0 ms, which I have read is fine for 83 # injectors. -Aaron

    150 max VE for FAST?

With the key off it is as follows: When set to 1 bar: 67 kpa When set to 2 bar: 99 kpa When set to 3 bar: 144 kpa -Aaron

    High VE for idle?

We put in a known set of 83# injectors, double checked the MAF and fuel pressure, and retuned the car. Now it wants to idle at 95 VE. The exhaust smells fine and the car idles smooth so I don't think it is a bad O2 or anything like that. If I lower the VE the car goes lean quick and dies around...

    150 max VE for FAST?

New info, no luck We put in a known set of 83# injectors, double checked the MAF and fuel pressure, and retuned the car. Now it wants to idle at 95 VE. The exhaust smells fine and the car idles smooth so I don't think it is a bad O2 or anything like that. If I lower the VE the car goes lean...

    150 max VE for FAST?

Yeah, this is the same car with the high idle VEs. Would a faulty MAP sensor cause the problem? The car is using a stock GN 2bar. If that is not the problem, I am beginning to think that the 72# injectors my friend bought are really 55#'s. TurboTR, thanks for the explanation... I am used...

    150 max VE for FAST?

This may be an easy fix, but I can't find an answer anywhere. Both under DOS and Windows versions of C-Com WP, I can't set VE to a number higher than 150 in the fuel tables. Is there an upper limit? What do people do for high boost cars? Thanks, -Aaron

    High VE for idle?

The injectors are 72#. If the VE is higher then it should be, thus adding fuel, that means that these injectors may not be true 72# injectors then? The fuel pressure is at 43.5 psi with the vacuum hose off and the injector opening time is 1.0ms Thanks, -Aaron

    High VE for idle?

I am tuning a friend's car and am finding very high VE numbers in order to find reach my target A/F ratio. I'm seeing 78 at idle and >100 in some part throttle areas. What could the problem be? As far as I know, all of the base fuel calc parameters are correct. Also, under the DOS version...

    WB O2 ECU pinout

My friend recently bought a FAST setup with a WB O2, but it did not include the O2 harness. We have been trying to use the pinout on the FAST website, but it isn't getting us anywhere. Here is what we have: O2 sensor (looking into the plug): Blue, Yellow, Resistor, Resistor Nothing...
