i may be wrong, but it look to me like it has at some stage thrown a leg out of bed.
and it had impacted on the bore.
has seen similar damage on a few desial motors i have stripped down.
where it has either over revved or taken in water.
thats just my 2 cents.
they started putting buick V6's in when the VN came out in 88.
and ever sence, and then in 95 the stated putting the ecotec's in (L37).
and our newest ones use a alloytec with some using the SIDI alloytec's.
i think the last 2 are GM motors.
