    Best 2004R for the money?

Im leaning towards Lonnie 1. Because the guy over at LS1Tech has had a great experience and is running a V8 LS engine, like I am 2. He is closer, physically, to where I live and trans shipping can be a bear on the billfold...

    Best 2004R for the money?

My car is a little different, but with a few tweaks to the tranny I guess its all the same. I have a 72 Camaro protouring car w an LS3. A member at LS1Tech is running an LS on nitrous w one of Lonnies first stage 2004Rs at 3700 lbs running low 10s, so Im sure he knows how to make one lastLOL.

    Best 2004R for the money?

Im afraid this thread will get axed because I don't have a clue who of these choices is a sponsor , but I have to try and ask. After much soul searching I am leaning towards selling my trans locally and having a trans built to match my setup. From all my research, Dave, Lonnie and CK are the...

    Deep trans pan for 2004R?

Its not a drag car and will spend 90% of the time as a street cruiser. It is an 11 sec capable car that will turn too, but that wont happen very often at all. The main reason Im shying away from the deep pan ( other than a very tight budget ) is how low the car sits. An extra 2 qts of oil...

    Deep trans pan for 2004R?

I think I am going to go a less expensive route. Dave thinks the 7004R filter cut to fit the stock pan will work fine as long as I change to a 7 or 10 vane pump, and ditch the 13 vane. CK also sells a aftermarket bottom feeder filter and a spacer for the stock pan that I might try out. Thanks...

Huge Garage Sale Cleanout... Many Great Parts!

can you explain O pump? It would go behind an LS3 in my 72 Camaro. Do you think the stall would be higher with my low end torque?

    Steel billet shaft forward drum?

Yea, I think I have it figured out now. The input shaft fits in the forward drum shaft. The input shaft on mine is the weaker of the two styles for GM, so add up another 300 bucks on top of the 400 buck for the billet drum setup. I sure hope the internal parts are OK when my trans guy tears it...

    Steel billet shaft forward drum?

What input shaft is on the" billet forward drum input shaft" combo?

    Steel billet shaft forward drum?

Yep, I read it, 5-6 times, LOL. I still didn't get whether the input shaft was connected to the forward drum or if the input shaft that goes in the converter is the same one that is welded to the billet forward drum.

    Steel billet shaft forward drum?

I am getting a hard parts list up for my trans guy to make my 2004R stand up to my mild LS3. The input shafts and forward drum both have a way of failing at my power level from what I have gathered. Is the steel billet shaft front drum that EA and CK sell the part to handle both of these issues...

    Deep trans pan for 2004R?

Thank you! I will have to do some figuring. It is only 1/4" lower than the max I wanted to allow. Time to weigh the pluses vrs minuses , LOL.

    Deep trans pan for 2004R?

Thank you, 1 quicksix. A measurement of the difference in the stock vrs hughes would be great.

    TCI valve body?

Anyone that really knows a lot about these 2004Rs done ant testing with the TCI constant pressure valve bodies. As a true idiot about the internal workings of 2004Rs, it sounds like a good insurance policy against burning a trans down from poor TV adjustment, to me. They are suppose to be...

    Hydrid converter for the 2004R?

Thanks Dusty, I will let you know what I decide to do. By the way "Happy 4th !" Thanks to all that have served and those that still do.

    Hydrid converter for the 2004R?

So, based on our conversation, what kind of money would we be talking and do you feel like you could set me up with a unit that would FEEL pretty tight at light throttle, but flash in the low 3000s behind my LS3? The engine makes good torque low and probably peaks at 4000 or less.
