    line pressure info

I run what LOT lists with exception of 13 vane pump and get 270/280 psi on my 200's. I found the 0.531 diameter valve improved the durability of the trans in 700 hp plus applications. I am trying a 0.561 diameter with a little more pressure, about 10 psi. I was concerned about pressure leaks...

    paddle shift 200 4r????

Altronics inc has one called Shift. 888.464.2587. May not be available to public yet. Really a neat deal. I think Bowler Transmission of Lawrenceville ?, Illinois can make one. May need a fat wallet.

    Big pump setup...return line -6 or -8?

About 1994, I was asked about the inertia of the fuel in the supply/return lines starving the injectors. After calculating the effects and then simulating in a lab setting, forget about that. As a practical matter, the launch has to be over 1.2 G's and the lines have to be on the launch axis...

    Big pump setup...return line -6 or -8?

The pump pressure/flow capacity, the engine power, and induction method are the factors to consider in selecting a fuel system. A 1/2" supply and return will handle 3 gpm with adequate pump(s) and no sharp bends or other obvious restrictions. If the pump(s) will supply 3 gpm at 25 psi, you can...

    Big pump setup...return line -6 or -8?

I have -8 hard lines and -8 hoses on the ends for my supply and return. I pump from fuel tank to engine bay regulator to fuel tank mounted in OEM position. I collected fuel from the pumps thru a 3 ft -8 hose and a MagnaFuel 9433 regulator set at 10 psi at 3.1 gallon per minute . I collected...

    Wilwood

Regal late spindles with torque nut; 140-1033, front med duty; 140-2508, front heavy duty. I used the heavy duty front and pro rear. The rear kits have several options, with or without parking brake and application differences, axle differences, etc. Talk to Wilwood to get what you want...

    Wilwood

Yes. Do the entire kit, front and rear. The rear only will make the balance such that the rears lock up and cause control problems. Balance valve wouldn't fix it. I don't know about front only. The front and rear kit can be balanced and they really stop.

    powerglide question

Razor is correct. Do it right the first time. If you have the hp to effectively use a glide, you have enough power to break a std. glide. Back in the day, they used to blow up on the strip and throw stuff everywhere. I have run a fully modified glide with the SFI bell housings & cases in...

    braided lines

The 200 4R are usually 1/4" NPT. Some are a port thread and you can carefully thread a 1/4 NPT into it. The AN -8 can be used on the 200 4R. I have not measured the effect vs AN -6. I don't believe AN -8 would be necessary. Wouldn't hurt anything. On the 200 4R, use a 45* 1/4" adapter...

    braided lines

I have tested several trans and converters with hoses to the coolers. The system I used that worked for me on a pretty much stock engine and 200 4R was Parker 801-Plus (-6 size) with push lok fittings. I used radiator clamps to additionally secure the hose to the fittings. Required by some...

advantages of XFI over Accel Gen 7?

Having used their 1st version of DFI and the 7 and the XFI on street and race cars; I prefer the XFI. The negative comments about the DFI are similar to my experience. I also had a series of hardware failures with earlier DFI units; and, they were not real helpful or even cooperative. I had...

Underground Racing TT Gallardo wrecks at over 200MPH at the Texas Mile.

There is only 1/2 mile of shutdown at the Texas Mile. Good brakes can get you stopped; but, a chute certainly feels good at 200 mph. I was there and did not see the crash. However, there were a lot of theories floated. After watching the video and hearing comments from some guys viewing...
