When you first turn on the key, do you notice that the fuel pump seems to run particularly long to come up to pressure? Could be involved. I'm not sure how that pressure is maintained when the pump isn't running, or if it is at all, but there could be a leak in some kind of check valve...

BTW, confirmed the ignition module and coil pack are fine with a coil pack test tool.

I had exactly the same problem, ran ok as long as you didn't really stomp it, but as soon as it made high boost, it was a cough and like you ran into a curb. Plug wires in my case. New wires, like a new car.
