There's something like an 8mm nut that holds the fan onto the motor. I can't recall for sure, but it may be a left hand thread.

Belts are gone, still have the manuals and and the weird air cleaner.

What is the hardened paste that's across the upper hinge plate on both sides? I don't see this on the lower hinges, and you can see more of it behind the upper rear tip of the fenders. It looks like it's white under the black paint. Anyone who has similar pics, please post 'em. Thanks a ton!
