FAST: what if my boost exceeds the 2 bar MAP sensor?

what happens if I switch to a 3 bar MAP? Will the tables intrapolate with the data I had in the 2 bar GCT file and I just tune for cell above the previous 2 bar limt?

FAST: what if my boost exceeds the 2 bar MAP sensor?

I'm using a 2 bar MAP sensor with FAST. what if I get 17psi in the manifold? will FAST just use the a/f and timing data closest to the cell within range?

    changing injector size w/FAST

when I changed from 50# to 72# low impedence I had to make some slight changes to the VE. it was making more corrections while in closed loop.

    VE tables over 100

check your electricals. I had a bad alternator ground. the engine was running crappy and inconsistent. I had high VE numbers just to keep the A/F in check. Once I fixed it I lowered my VE . although it's normal to go over 100 once you get heavy into boost.

    F.A.S.T. question regarding afterstart idle...

this is happening when the engine is still "cold"? sounds like you need some enrichment - base on coolant temp

    Fast update...Craig ? Where are we ?

you guys with the "faster" laptops that still has a serial port. use a dos boot disk to boot to dos and run ccom. it's fast because I don't have to wait for windows to boot up. hopefully you have a FAT or FAT32 partition.

    Inlet Air Temp Sensor.

I have an question regarding this topic currently my air temp sensor is located in the lower intake which samples 1 port. should I relocated the sensor before the throttle body? I suspect the heat of the lower intake (alum) might cause it to read hotter due to heat transfer?

    Target A/F (Speed Pro)

is your alternator putting out the same voltage as before? how about adequate grounding for the alt and engine? I had my acessories brackets powercoated while I was going turbo from S/C. Since then the car hasn't been running the same. very high VE, inconsistent performance, etc. After some...

    FAST dashboard question

I have "GRS CORR" in my dash while in the VE table. it's not showing any corrections while I'm in close loop. Do I have the right field? which field will show the total correction made by the computer while in close loop? TIA,

    Where do I start tuning??

yes but not right away. I rev it up a little so the "dot" will move out of the cell(s) I just changed. once it comes back then I'll see a change. I could be wrong but the A/F table will still affect even if you are in open loop.

    Where do I start tuning??

you might want to idle in open loop. Even after switching to a "mild" cam (18" vaccum @ idle) I found it easier to smooth out the idle using open loop. I don't go into close loop till 2k. set idle speed using the screw at the throttle body. only use the IAC follower for fine tuning. once the...

FAST VE table not reading boost

I have both the dos and windows verion of c-com. I use the dos version 98% of the time. I only use the windows version to datalog because it's easier. goto bootdisk.com and make a dos boot disk. if your laptop is win95/98/ME then it's using FAT so you can just boot off the dos boot disk...

    easy FAST C-com question?

dos version here. reason being pentium 133 w/128mb RAM:eek: thanks!

    easy FAST C-com question?

which key do I hit if I want to automatically adjust a cell in VE so that correction becomes zero (or close to it) while running in close loop? Thanks.

Autometer A/F gauge hook up to FAST WB?

there are several low cost WB O2 setups with display out there ($300). I bought 1 of them and welded up a second bung so I can view without a laptop.
