When the trans is cold, it shifts with a crazy jolt. After it warms up, it does not do it as bad, but still shifts hard. Is this the shift kit? When I originally bought the trans, I was told by Phoenix that it had a shift kit installed. Is this what they mean by "firm shift"?? One other...

I'm looking for a higher stall speed to get the truck to it's sweet spot sooner. 3500rpm and this L6 starts stomping. Are PTS converters overkill for a HOT L6 pulling 206 ponies at the rear wheels? When should one change the oil on a freshly rebuilt trans. I installed it 4 monts ago and...

I'm not sure what year it's from(TV cable), but it only happens at WOT. I prefer that over part throttle. I was just wondering, when it kicks down hard (WOT), are there any possiblilities that damage can result from such a violent kickdown? I know this is the dumb question of the week...

If a driver wants the trans to kick down a gear should it only happen when the gas pedal is all the way down or should it occur sooner? Buickturbotown!

How bout a downshift and the rev going from 1000 to 2500. Is that within the limits?

It's a 63 C10 Stepside with drum brakes, enough said. No big deal, though.

Can you downshift a 2004R manually? Or is it best to let the trans do it? (I'm just thinking the worst case scenario where ya might need the lower gears to help you stop quick just in case there is trouble ahead)
