My RX7 blows fire every time I shift it, but it's a 5spd, under hard acceleration. It's just that you're running a little rich and the exhaust is burning up the unused fuel that makes it into the exhaust. Nothing big and looks kinda cool :D Helps keep those tailgaters off the RX7 too, he he.

That has nothing to do with my problem... the car doesn't even crank.

When the key is on, the pump primes for about 3 seconds. Battery connections are good, checked both the positives and negatives. We tried to jump start the car also, thinking MAYBE it was a dead battery. It doesn't turn over at all, so I don't think it could be the crank sensor.
