I would not consider it loud, but it is definately louder than stock. At idle it has a very nice v8 type sound. I do not like very loud exhausts and I like it.
What kind of price are they quoting for the install? I'm in NC and things are usually on the expensive side down here. I was quoted $300 for the wing install and an extra $200 if they need to refinish the back of the hatch where it attaches - looks like there is rust where the wing sits on it...
I had it put on today and it sounds great. I was concerned that it might be to loud. The Magnaflow muffler is stainless, the rest is not. The system they made for me connects where the cat normally connects and has a high flow spun cat and is 3/5" from there back with a single outlet on the...
I just bought a 3 1/2" system from Mufflex along with a replacement highflow converter. I haven't put it on yet though. They will also do the system in 4" if you request.
I just had the TTA done on Monday. I used Auto Shield Carolinas 704-321-0505 on Sardis Rd North near Independence. They have done 3 of my cars and done an excellent job with all.
They put on my P O N T I A C windshield graphic as well :D
I will plan on being there with the TTA. I've spent the last couple of months replacing the seats, carpeting, console parts, etc. It's actually starting to look pretty nice!
I bought one for a GN from Kirban and it fits well. I also bought some 3" replacement flexible tubing that I put on the end of it. The combination is plenty long to have the new 3" MAF near the corner of the radiator and the 9" K&N cone filter pointed down where the stock air filter normally...
Does any one have a source for an after market turbo inlet pipe that goes between the turbo and the MAF? I see quite a few nice ones for the Regals, but from the pictures they don't look like they would fit a TTA do to the space restrictions.
I agree. Camel was also the color mentioned by Hawks as the best. I am having them send me a carpet sample as well. I figure it will be easier to do the carpeting with the seats already out.
Thanks Matt for all of the great pictures! My family and I had a great time. we really appreciate that you let the poor Pontiac folks with the Buick motor into the group :)
