You'll be shock and I suspect you thought you new 20w50 (thicker) is better. Im not sure what these engines ran on 10w30 is suspect and back in the days GM and others really had not much of a choice but now a days things have changed. We run GC 0w30 in our LS1's 0 is for superior cold starts...
