    How much boost is to much boost?

    Im a bit confused....is it a GN motor? turbo? injectors? if its a GN motor from top to bottom with 7.5:1 compression......turn that puppy up! Give us a few more details so we can help you out some more.

    I think a 1.70 60' would be a good launch for your car. Obviously better is possible. With a 1.7 60' your ET would drop to prolly a 12.1 @ 111. You should be able to build boost fairly easy with your setup. Is your car not building boost or will your breaks not hold any boost? I ran 1.80's...

    Housings: 63 vs 82

    the bigger the exhast= slower spoolp, and slightly more power when boost is made. With a 3000 stall, you could get away with an .82, but not quite sure if i would change. You might pick up 1-2mph in the 1/4, but i dont see your ET improving much.

    more sound

    I have never really heard a turbo whine or whistle at idle. With an open dump it whines down after the car has been reved. Are you sure your not thinking of a belt driven super-charger? Heard plenty of those whine at idle.

    Another "Which Turbo" Question

    Both my buddies that use the 51 like them. (both mid 11 sec cars, w/ stock motors) Im not familiar with the chetah turbos, but a TA-49 would be my choice with your setup. Excellent power and great spool for about 700 bucks. I think a 51 would work good too though.
