dum question but here it is. will a stock 87 gn spin the tires from a dead stop by just flooring it.

depends on the tires but at the top of 1st gear it should probably break them loose a bit produce a decent scratch on the 1-2 shift

Mine bone stock would spin just a tad on take off and then once the boost started in it would break the tire loose for a good bit. That was with an open diff and 225/60 bfg radial ta's

Not any I have ever seen and I worked on a car this summer that came in bone stock down to the airbox, chip, thermostat.

all stock probably not, but my 87 has a TT chip, dutt. neck ic, and kn drop in filter in the stock air box and breaks them loose when it hits second everytime

not from a dead punch, but 10-15 ft. out all hell breaks loose.
Quick spool w/no cat and a 2.5" exhaust

Only real performance mods, Kirban 3" downpipe, JayC chip and 16-17 psi boost, rebuilt tranny, 235 60 15 Firestone Indy 500 treadwear 500 tires. 3700# GN

My WE4 did it with just intake and TT chip @ 12 psi, stock CAT in place and stock tranny. Awww, the good old days when it was still cheap to drive/own...but now it roasts 'em through first and into second and it's worth every penny.

My GN has stock turbo & stock convertor and it won't rip the tires from a stop but does it sometimes shifting from 1 to 2.

Will a 2800 lockup convertor help?

mine won't even do it with the mods in my sig.

Really???? My 87 T has similar mods, (see sig) and I can't hardly control it after about 10-15 feet off the line.....stock IC and stock trans/converter....strange...

new from the factory some were faster than others. as far as the weight differance between a gn and a we4 i think it was only a 155 lbs wheels. drums. bumper brackets were the only differance and some gns had alum. drums and brackets. so the weight won't make any diff.

The camera tilt making it appear to wheelie is a cool touch!

With some bolt-ons and 22 psi boost.... they will scotch the tires at 40 mph.... stock turbo and all..... 245/60/16 BFG Comp T/A KDWS tires....
