Well you have two cars from vegas that run deep into the 8's, Garths 1100RWHP supra and Danna's Virtual Works Racing supra..

Hopefully there are some race cars that can hold it down.

Yep, that's what I mean. Who raced the hyabusa and won? I remember one of those car, or both got write-ups in turbo magazine. I'm still rooting for the buicks of course. :D
 
They'll be enough buicks to hold it down, the opel will hopefully be there, along with some other big guns. :)

I spoke to Craig last night and he said to just pursue the Orleans. I don't believe we're reserving a block of rooms or anything, but I'll put their contact info on the WCN site.

I noticed that the room rates for the Cannery and the Orleans are nearly identical. Therefore, I'm going to recommend the Cannery instead, since it's close to the track and I've heard plenty of nasty comments when people had to drive through Las Vegas traffic the year we tried the Silverton.
If you don't mind the extra drive, you should PM SnakeKiller (Will) and see if he can get you a better deal.
 
Whatever happened to "Main Street Station"? That was a pretty good place that the mojority of us stayed at (fairly close to the track, away from most of the traffic problems) (located at the extreme north end of the strip) when I went several years ago. If I remember correctly they had a fenced "fairly" secure parking area for us.

I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate those that take the time to help make this an even better event, instead of complaining. Thanks a lot Chris! I owe you a beer. :D
 
Yes there is parking for a trailered vehicle. 5 times out of 10 we stay at the Cannery it's only 5 to 7 minutes from the track. I have been partial to the Palms and the Luxor though. All three hotels I've mentioned have truck AND trailer parking.

If the track discount doesn't work try a AAA member discount. Or senior discount, etc.

Their website has been updated and doesn't mention the track discount anymore. But try the other ones above.

Another one you may want to try is the 4 Queens. That's not too close to the track, but is a sponsor of Ed Thornton. He stays at that Hotel near Fremont street, so I assume there must be truck and trailer parking there too. Not to mention that you should ask for an LVMS track discount for participating racers. It's worth a little shopping over the phone.

I'm not sure Danas supra is running yet, but I don't think he would be a threat anyway cause after his 8.89 pass he was always having prob. word was he had a good tunner then he split. Beating a stock wheel base / height turbo busa's with those 800 horse supras is not suprising anymore, they need to watch out for those new liter bikes (over 100lbs lighter w/ same hp?). Anyway I hope buicks put the hurtin on these Supras and this goes on for years to come.
