Speedo adapter??

In my 87 GN, i have a TH400 trans mission is there an adapter or anyway to get it to work the speedo gauge?
any help is appreciated!

The speedo cable should just hook up to the turbo 400 speedo drive. No adapter needed unless for some reason the transmission has a drive on it for an electronic speedometer. If that's the case just get a mechanical one to replace it.

i was told that it wouldnt work for some reason,
trans came out of a 3 quarter ton pick up if that helps any. but ill take a look at it today.

As stated it should hook right up but chances are you'll need to put different gears.
