Hi my name is WillIt has always been a dream to own a Grand National, but because of a bad spinal injury to my wife, we have been struggling the last few years just to make ends meet. I was able to find a one owner , unmodified 87 with 6000 original miles, that the the guys wife rolled and wrecked, it has been sitting for the last 6 years.I got the entire drivetrain, suspension, fuels system, wiring and dash for 700.00 and plan on putting in an 81 Malibu I have. While its not the coveted Grand National I want, it will be as close as I will be able to get.
I'm missing a few pieces.. ac compressor. alternator and I'm assuming the mounting brackets ( he misplaced them over the years) other than that I should be able to bolt everything into my Malibu. I am hoping to find someone near me that has some Knowledge, and a car to reference, but its difficult to find parts or experts on anything in such a tiny remote Province. Any suggestions, leads, tips would be greatly appreciated, and I'll keep you updated on the progress.
