my car blew....

an oil filter? the filter backed off and the inside was blown apart when i took it off. i changed the oil and it runs fine.... ever happen to anyone else?

about 11 years ago i change the oil on my truck and failed to check and make sure the old o-ring was on the old oil filter.

well when it was all said and done there was the old o-ring and the new filter on the truck, started it and Booom.. 7qts of oil on the concrete.

i shut the truck off and its been fine ever since.

i did a oil change on a 85 pontiac grand prix with a pontiac 455
and when the owner started the car the oil filter blew off at the crimp on the oil filter leaving the oring and threads on, the rest hit the floor
