thanx joe

Stock crank and rods are fine. Just upgrade them to ARP bolts. The ideal bottom end would be RJC girdle or billet caps. Depends on your budget. A stock bottom end will go 11's tuned correctly.;)

Here are some of your options:

1. Stock Rebuild
Stock Crank, new main and rod bearings, stock bolts
Stock Pistons, new rings
Stock Rods and bolts
New gaskets, Arp Head bolts, or head studs
Stock Heads New valve springs, valve job, resurface heads.
Assembly price.

2. Stock Block bored .020 over with Girdle
Stock crank and rods
Hydraulic Roller Cam kit, Short Duration 206/210 may be nice.;)
(ARP rod bolts if you want, but you can get Scat rods for a good price)
Forged pistons, carful here, compression ratio will be effected
New gaskets, Arp Head bolts, or head studs
Stock Heads Fully ported, stock valves, or larger valves,
New valve springs, valve job, resurface heads.
Assembly price.

3. Stock Block bored .020 over with 2 or 3 steel main caps
Forged crank and stock rods
(ARP rod bolts if you want, but you can get Scat rods for a good price)
New gaskets, Arp Head bolts, or head studs
Hydraulic Roller Cam kit, Short Duration 206/210 may be nice.;)
Forged pistons, carful here, compression ratio will be effected
Stock Heads Fully ported, stock valves, or larger valves,
New valve springs, valve job, resurface heads.
Assembly price.

4. Stock Block bored .020 or .030 over with Girdle
Steel stroker crank, rod, and piston.
Hydraulic Roller Cam kit, Mild duration 212/212 may be nice.;)
Forged pistons, carful here, compression ratio will be effected
New gaskets, Arp Head bolts, or head studs
Stock Heads Fully ported, stock valves, or larger valves,
New valve springs, valve job, resurface heads.
or Champion or TA Aluminum Heads, hope you get the ported ones,
no sense in having to take them off to get it done later.
Assembly price.

This is just a simple list of combos for you to see where you would like to be price wise. You still need other things to meet your goals and most importantly a good tune.
