How common is a turbine housing that has a 3.5" v band? I'm moving over to 4 bolt turbos, and I bought the GN1 Performance 3.5" v band downpipe. After buying it, I decided to start turbo shopping and it seems that 3" is very, very common. I don't want to run a giant turbo to get a 3.5" housing that will work with this downpipe, and I don't really want to modify the pipe. Anyone running this downpipe? What's your experience with turbo selection with the size of this v band?

thats what i did , cut the 3" flange off the exhaust housing and weld on a 3.5" vband ring

ive also done it the other way and thats to cut the flange from the pipe and weld on a 3" vband ring which is about 3.38 OD and close enough to weld to the 3.5 pipe by slightly rolling over the edge of the pipe

Thanks gentlemen. I'm still trying to decide which way to go. Although, the pipe seems like it would be the easiest to modify.
