18psi is it safe on 92 octane

AND valve springs, timing set, clean the crud out of the oil pickup, weld the drivers side header, radiator, thermostat, check valves, correct PCV, rubber vacuum lines, etc....


tuning the boost up to a predetermined magic number is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down on the list
 
Spring cleaning...
All vacuum lines replaced...check valves replaced...
adjustable regulator
fuel pump, hotwire, tt chip, translator, lt1/ls1 maf,
fp gauge/oil pressure gauge/ knock gauge boost gauge
scanmaster...
Do the 1st 2 before anything...
 
What's up guys I am new to this forum I have a 1989 tta just wanted to know if it is safe to run 18psi off boost on 92 octane,the motor is preety much stock,i am not looking for anything crazy,just want to make the car a little quicker maybe to be in the low 12,s,the car is already a 13.4 car in stock form.I am trying to keep the car mostley stock without having to change much ,what do you guys think,any input would be greatly appreciated.Thanks guys
sell it if u want it stock an run 11's
