...and then there was GNX #548

Just curious how much the price was for the parts. Retail, employee, etc. I don’t work there any more. But I was wondering if was cheep enough for another build or 2 back in the day.

No, not you. You have a nice vehicle to be proud, for sure I was wondering about x-ray, or whomever was the person with the car that went down the line at asc.

Just curious. Did you ever pay Buick for all those expensive parts you had installed on your personal vehicle ?

    GNX for 15 grand

This particular Greek worked with Mark Alward, who posts here, at Buick Engineering. We worked on the turbo project years before there was a GNX. I worked with many suppliers like Molly, Garret Airesearch on turbos, and later intercoolers. Eventually we developed the t type and Grand National...

...and then there was GNX #548

Ok, let me get this straight... a guy sends a car "down the line"; parts from several different vendors supplying a finite number of GNX components are put on it. Yet no one is counting the cars or parts as they are assigning to each vehicle, or recording the VIN as they are being modified. And...

    Why 547?

Mark! Wassap guy? I used to have a bunch of those books I wrote on how to increase the performance on the V6. Remember Hill & Hill used to get 1100 hp out of their yellow dragster? Shoot, I don't have a one of those left. They had the machining specs for grinding cranks and cams for stage II...

    Why 547?

The FBI bought T-Types, not GNX's. In fact, they contacted me and asked why they were limited to 127 mph (rpm limiter). I told them, the tires were not rated for any speeds beyond that (not Z rated). I'm not sure, but they bought about 150 of them, but NOT 47.

    Why 547?

I worked in Marketing/Product Promotion at Buick Engineering at the time the GN and GNX were in development, and worked with the program supervisors. The car used as the "mule" for the GN was a 1985, and came out of the engineering fleet. It was the same car used by Car and Driver to write about...

    BPG GNX Show Results

I just discovered this website today. I worked with the Marketing/Product Promotion Department at Buick Engineering in Flint, MI when this car was developed, and worked with most of the program supervisors. I recall the first GN was really a 1985 T-type mule, which later evolved to the GNX...
