Scanmaster as a gauge

I'm running Windows 10 on my Surface pro 3 and I'm seeing two different ports on device manager port 6 incoming and port 7 outgoing for Scanmaster....

I am having the same SCMG Fan = On all the time?
The Powerlogger reads correct fan cycling.
Also the Bluetooth shows up as 2 separate com ports an in & out?
HC-06 shows up in device menu, Do I need to change the drivers there?

This is the way the bluetooth stuff shows up, really annoying. The bluetooth implementations seem to very by computer manufacturer. I'm on a Dell Win7 machine here and the built-in bluetooth can't pair with lots of things (scanmaster included). I have found that the inexpensive bluetooth adapters work pretty well. I have tried a couple different kinds. I have a few on hand for those (mostly Dell I'm guessing) people who's laptops have an attitude...

when you open device manager, are there 2 ports shown there?

probably don't need to change drivers.

The fan indicator is a bug, I will have that sorted out shortly. The units are reflashable over bluetooth, of course this presumes the bluetooth is connecting properly.

The ports show up as com 6 incoming and com 7 outgoing but scanmaster won't connect over Bluetooth even though says paired...

Many people have asked about the correct adx files to run the ALDLDroid app, and I can not seem to find them anywhere. Can you send them to me.

Also, I have 2 days of driving with the G and have logs stored. I can't download with the powerlogger. The tab to download is on the F3 page, but doesn't do anything. What's wrong?

Here are the ADX files for those running from the ALDL stream (non-powerlogger)

Use the "_Y_" file for those chips with the fast update patch.

ALDLDroid does not have any dashboard layout portability, so you have to build your own layout.

Can you explain to me what I do with the adx file now that I have it? I can navigate around a computer enough to blow my kids college fund on car parts, but not much more. I can't find anyway to import the adx file to the ALDLDroid app. I only have the 4 pre loaded adx that came with the app and can't find a way to attach the one you provided.

I have an HTC One M8. I have loaded ADX files 2 ways.

1, install dropbox on your PC and on your phone (both are free), then turn on the dropbox integration in aldldroid.

2, plug the phone into the computer using the USB cable, and tell the phone to enable USB disk (or whatever samsung calls it)

I suppose you could email the files to yourself, open the email on your phone and save the attachment, but I have not tried it, and I don't know how well android supports
saving attachments into specific spots.

I sent it to myself already , but can't attach it to the app. So, I did what you said and opened a drop box account. Put the files in and now the drop box program says "too many attempts , please try later" and that was the first attempt. I can't win. I'll try again tomorrow.

Download ES file explorer app its free and it makes finding files on android easier.

what are the recall thresholds in the scng? I am running both types of scanmasters and I stabbed the throttle, the scn 2.1 recorded some knock and lowest O2. However, the scng didn't hold any of the data, pressing recall did not bring up any knock??

I also notice a dot in the lower left corner of the scng display, sometimes it is there, other times it is not.

And finally, how is the internal logging implemented, the scng shows 100+ logs, but they can't be brought up in PLC?

the threshold for the Scmg, when connected to the PL, is on the F3 page of PLC.

the same threshold controls the internal logging. the internal logging stores PL frames when triggered, and for as many seconds as set in the min record time setting in PLC after the trigger goes false.

the logs are extracted from the SCMg using the buttons on the F3 page, and PLC processes them into logfiles that are named based on the saving time and date.

here is an adx for the PowerLogger + Scanmaster G guys.

It is preliminary, and needs more stuff added to the default dashboards. but adding more stuff to the screens is easy.

This one is for MAF cars, the SD2 has a lot more stuff and may need a different ADX, working on that next. (SD2 can use this one for now, its just missing some stuff)
