Can You Say Big Turbo..............

Are you sure you dont mean T-6 is the biggest, like the Thumper series turbos? I have never seen a T-5 header or turbine housing.

Not really sure on the t5-t6 thing,Not really sure on the Machined down T4 deal,These guys we race with are sticklers for the rules.T5 turbos add 100#s to the car.
If they hear Machined down to a t4 its still a T6.
It would be interesting to try one for sure

I'm sure T-6 would fall in to the add #100 class. However, we have some of the same class limitations in import street so we machine down the inlet to a T-4 size. Its T-4 all the way, however if they pull off your turbo for inspection they would still see the T-6 volute size.

Is the Turbine housing inlet on this machined down housing the same dimensions as a true T4?. If so, would this machined down T6 housing still support more power than a true T4.

The flange size would be T-4 but the volute would still be a T-6 so the HP and flow would be higher than an out of the box T-4 housing.

john, hello thats what im doing with my combo going to try the 88mm in 95 housing and dyno both ways with 95mm wheel to.

SHHHHH, that was a rhetorical question based on what you are doing.
I did not want you to let the cat out of the bag!

This is the way im going to mount the turbo instead of the other way i had it mounted it allows me more room i still want to run the stock hood .
