Can someone remind me which wires go to what with an aftermarket tach. I know the green wire is suppose to go to the green connector with 2 white wires so do i splice to to one of the white wires?

Just connect it to the terminal on the green connector behind the alternator.

i dont have a green connector behind the alternator on my 84. i have the green connector near the power steering pump with 2 white wires going to it

That's some "need to know information". I'm not familiar with the 84' wiring but if that is your tach test point then that is where you connect the tach.
