I can't get the turbo to spool more than 1 maybe 2 # of boost on the line. I was
trying to launch the car a few months back and I was making 7 or 8# of boost at about 1600 or 1700 rpm but before I could let off the brake there was a noise
and the converter started to whine. I replaced the converter with a PAT'S 12"
2800. The car is dropping into gear hard and the rpms are shooting up to 1800 to 1900 rpm when I would take it out of gear and they come down to normal. That was happening before and after I changed the converter but I don't remember if it was doing that before the converter went bad. I don't know what
the first converter was it was in the car when i bought it. It did have D6 stamped on the out side edge all the way around it. The car drives great shift good l/u is good boost to 17# at wot. Some ideas on what is wrong would be helpful.
