I am needing the block to head dowels for my 4.1. They look to be 1/4 in. diameter and 1/2 in. long. I can't get the dowels out of my 3.8 and none of the machine shops around here have any extra. I can't get Vato Zone, OReilly's, Advance, or Napa to come up with a part number.

What is the part number for these and where can I find some?

I've looked them up here at work (GM dealership) and ordered them. I'd try your local GM dealership.

I don't know what a DOWEL PIN is... guess, I cant talk to you guys or work on my own car or even own it(17 yrs).....sorry, read that somewhere on somebodies sig...he'll see it I know and say_______HIS answer here. Wish the world a pleasant place for Dowel unknower's and Aids and Chlamydia victims everywhere. lol. sorry perfect thread...had to do
it for the Newbies that are okay!;)  :p

I didn't find any solid dowel pins locally, so I used some roll pins (also called spring pins) instead of the dowels. Should work fine.

Thanks again for the replies guys.

How many do you need? I will send them in a envolope. I have 100's. I run EDM Dept at Tool and Mold shop.
