My '87 tb has been sitting for about a week. I started it up and the boost gauge was reading 30 in.hg for vaccume. I have never seen it read that much before usually it is between 10 and 20. Does anybody have an idea of what might be going on?

Thanks,
Nick

Wouldn't happen to be a liquid filled gauge, is it? Everytime the car would sit in the sun for a while, there would be vacuum showing before even starting the car.

There is a small screw on the top of the gauge just behind the bezel that you can unscrew to relieve the pressure difference between the inside of the gauge & the out. I tried leaving the screw open a little, but the silicon fluid would spill out in the turns, so I ended up replacing it with a NON liquid filled boost gauge:frown:
