I just noticed something...

What kind of front tie rods are those? They're not factory and the pics are posted you cant hide your speed secrets from me. Kinda like NAS stickers. Performance tie rods make all the difference.

Jerry jr.

Adjustable tie rods are from TRZ along with upper/lower tubular arms and billet aluminum steering arms.

Car looks awesome, most don't realize the time and $$$$ it takes. Hope the #s pan out.. Keep us posted.

Bret, where are your updated pics and progress??????
It was looking good also.

That is one sweet ride.
Sorry I missed seeing it in person when I was up there a while back.

It's winding down. Bill and I are gonna have a grudge race by the end of the summer....lol

His car is really sweet and one of the nicest I have seen in many years actually. It's all show and go!

Any numbers yet?
made 540rwhp at 18#s on pump gas with 18* timing.
He wants to get used to the car and enjoy it for the summer before
he lets me loose on it :D
We will be at ETOWN with it Sat for the EFI shootout series making some
18# passes.

Car feels very strong at 18lbs, especially with all the weight I removed. Will be taking some test passes this weekend and also scaling the car.

Otto - I'll be there bright and early with my Uhaul trailer and pick-up!

Pics and videos on their way. Its great to have the car back!

Here's a question I'll pose.....

Otto......in your experience.........how much power is potentially there with this combo......at what boost and timing? ...... based on the preliminary numbers you have observed?

Also....what kind of dyno was this on?

I am eagerly awaiting some shakedown 18# passes. This thing looks like it could go mid 10's on 18#.......

I am hoping quite a bit,we are using a Billet wheel 4 bolt turbo so we shouldn't hit a backpressure wall quite like the 3 bolts will.
This turbo is "RATED" at 930 HP.The motor should be able to take anything we can throw at it.
I got my ideas on how much timing and boost,I dont know if Bill will follow me though:D.
My only concern for this time out is the trans shift timing.
We will be installing a KC valve body as the BRF one will shift way to early, this car has a stage right brake so the 1-2 will come up way to soon and we wil have to hold the 2-3 to a manual shift.
Testing was done on my Dynojet.

We picked one hot and humid June Saturday to make a few passes. It was over 90, track was slick, and we had a strong headwind all day.

Made 3 passes off the footbrake, 18lbs... best was 10.97 at 127 with a lousy 1.74 sixty.

Hopefully we'll get a few more passes in this summer to get the suspension straight.

Here's a pic...

That is mighty sweet for only 18 psi......a mediocre 60' time, and only 18 deg of timing.......... It should probably go 10.60's at 18 psi with a good 60' time IMHO..... even without good air..... that is impressive.
