Ugly tranny noise

Ok guys, I have some nasty sounds coming from my transmission when rolling at idle or decelerating from about 40 to 0. The noise is almost like a grinding, and as I slow even more, from about 5-0 mph the noise turns into a clanging, like someone is hitting the tranny with a hammer..What should I be looking for, before I have to bring it in somewhere Oh also, sometimes turning at low speeds effects the noise

I'm on my third one, should be the worst when you turn right and get on it. Just my guess. HTH

10 sec TTA..where in Fl are ya?

If the tranny is toast..careful who you take it to..the TTA tranny is rare and specific..can you say $$$$$$ .. Plenty of reputable shops in the country..look in the transmission section of the board for leads..if you take it to a regular tranny shop..they usually F'it up.
