Turbo shield on TE-61?

Guys,

I tried installing the turbo shield on my TE-61 and only the back bolt holes line up. I guess I could enlarge the holes in the front but wanted to see what others have done. Anyone else have this problem?

Likely the bolt heads on the wastegate actuator are touching the side of the shield. Usually a small square notch in this area will cure the interference and allow the shield to bolt up.

If you enlarge the holes you will find that the shield will sit crooked.

Louie is dead-on with his diagnosis. Chuck, I had the same problem when I tried the 61 I got from you and a little notching of the shield took care of it.

Louie, congratulations on a great showing Sunday. What happened in the final? Looks like you had trouble spooling at the line.

Scottie,
Thanks!!! I had lots of fun...

My trans brake began to pulsate and wouldnt hold the car. So i had to go at it with the foot brake. Unfortunately after the c clip elim install my rear brakes have not been the same and only held about 3 psi.Prior to about 10-12 psi....

Thats racing!
