trouble code 12

Reassembling 87 t-type after rebuild. I have a trouble code # 12, tach is pegged . Book says no tach signal. Anyone ever seen this? What to do? T%hank's, Dan

Nothing to worry about, kinda means beginning of test. How are you reading this? With scanner or connecting terminals A&B at the ALDL (computer data link terminal under the dash).

Thanks for the reply, you're right it's nothing to worry about. After reading up on it, I remember when I first tried to start the car, I cranked the engine over without the big white plug connected, under the module. That is how it set the code 12, no tach signal. My mistake, sorry to bother you. THANK'S dan
