TITLE QUESTION

I think it comes down to what the insurance company lists it at. Mine is listed as Buick Regal Grand National GNX.

The 86 should NOT say Grand National or GN, simply because in 86, and early 87, GN was an option, not a model name.

Tks. I feel alot better about it now. Kinda threw me off when it said T-TYPE. Thanks to all the has responded to this thread. John

The GN WE2 was an option on a Regal model. The title decodes models and not options. Some people fill out their reg. app. and write in GN under the model and the clerk just types it in the same. That was years ago. DMV has upgraded and their system can decode VIN's and it should default Regal. Tell your insurance company it is a Regal. The rate should be lower but their VIN decode system should pick up on the 8th digit of the VIN which indicates the engine. Once they determine it is a turbo, the rate goes up.
