I dug out the specs on the L2471F to see if it serves as a good replacement for the L2481F. I would like to use the L2471F pistons and am trying to determine they will work properly.

I have not found information about top ring placement on either piston. Of course turbo pistons usually have the ring package moved down. Does anyone know if the rings are in the same vertical position on both pistons?

I plan on having the rotating assembly dynamically balanced. So I was not concerned about the 45 gram difference in weight. Make sense or no?

Your thoughts, comments, corrections, and suggestions are welcome.
