Safely run 87 octane

Does anyone see any reason I can't run 87 octane with my stock turbo by disconnecting the wastegate rod? I have to evacuate the car because of the hurricane and there might not be any 93. Gas is getting hard to get.

Stay out of boost altogether. Loosen the rod as far as it will go and still stay on. Don't let anyone but you drive it.

Be safe... we are preparing for the storm up here as well.

You be safe too!

I'm getting out of Dodge, going to Tennessee.

Thanks for the replies, I'll be sure to render it incapable of making boost if I have to run the 87.

Hendersonville more specifically. My brother is there so I'll be there until Tuesday at least.

Oh great, is there anything I should see or so while I'm there? I'm likely to be in town a bit

No boost and you should be fine. well, with the car, anyway.

Be sure to keep your safety in mind first, "stuff" can be replaced.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm not planning to be anywhere close to this storm! Just need to get my gn to higher ground inland.
