pulley problems..

as i've said earlier, when i bought my car it was in pieces, so bear with me please. i drove my car for the first time this weekend, it ran great. but today i noticed a clicking noise in the front of the engine. my a/c compressor pulley is very close to the tensioner. it occasionally touches causing the clicking noise. i must have something wrong. how far apart should they be. how do they mount to the bracket?

I have about 1/2" clearance between my two pulleys. Maybe you are using the wrong belt?

Don't remember the clearance between the stock pulleys as I am using Kirban's water pump pulley and a different belt. Maybe someone else will chime in here.
