Rob, That is one beautiful T!!!!!! What silver did you use? Lexus paint?
Thanks a lot. Believe it or not, that is actually the original factory silver applied by GM.
However, when my wife lets me get it repainted (in something like 20 years or so, according to her) I will be looking closely at the Lexus silvers (and both Mercedes and BMW also have some nice silvers). I am partial to real light silvers myself.
I don't think you could wrong with silver, maroon or rosewood. Pick a color you think you will be happy with in ten years.
I think both the white and silver colors stand up very well, and do not show defects as easily as darker colors. I have two cars that got hailed on last 4th of July: A silver Subaru (turbo of course) that you could hardly tell got hailed on (although the damage cost $1000 to get fixed at a paintless dent repair shop), and a Rosewood Maxima that only got a few dents but are highly noticeable because of the darker color.
Another reason why I typically choose ligher colors is they are so much easier to take care of. I had a black car for twelve years and my Rosewood Maxima for eleven years now. Every little chip and scratch stands out - typically showing up as whitish looking. On a white or silver car the whitish scratches may be there, but are not as visible.
For ease of care, you cannot beat a white or silver TR (or white or silver on any car for that matter).
