Just wanted to start a poll on the new Billet 67 PTE turbos. Since the make several popular flavors for our cars..... I wanted to see how many were out there on the board.... and what style. Here is the main ones I see:

1.) 6765 journal bearing
2.) 6765 double ball bearing
3.) 6768 (AKA 67HPQ) journal bearing
4.) 6768 (AKA 67HPQ) double ball bearing

Please reply to post with:
Which style 67 are you running?
What compressor cover are you running (3" inlet/2" outlet, 4" inlet 2-1/2" outlet, or 4" inlet/3" outlet)
What exhaust housing?
What stall you are running?
How you like it?

By all means.... if you have run it at the track..... give us some ET details and a little bit more about your combination...... heads...cubic inches..... headers....downpipe..... boost level.... etc.

P.S. I added an option for the old school 67's.... i.e the 6776 etc.... by all means post up your details and ET if you have it....

Should be interesting...

Got my popcorn.

Got a 6768 journal w/ 3x2 housing and .85 exhaust. Will not have results until next year. Same turbo went 9.9 so far on a ths setup and 249" engine with lots left.

ran it 2 times at the track with the wrong converter ... would barley spin the tires in the burnout box .... only ran a 10.97 second pass @ only 119 after the stock maf took a dump with alot of other issues .... stock long block ... i think it had atleast a 10.60 in it

I have a PTE 6765 Billet 30 over,O-ringed, forged TRW's ,fully ported irons, 150 valve springs,HS roller rockers,224-222 roller cam,Race Stainless Headers, Duel Alky Shot, Built 200 trans, 3000 stall Neil Chance converter, Dyno and Tuned by the GREAT OTTO! 565 RWHP, and 600 LBS of torque at a mild 22lbs of boost.....Just tuned this week. Track times to follow....Turbo spools GREAT! Cant wait to turn it up  I love my 6765! Looks like low to mid 10's..........NO PROBLEM.....Oh yeah its gonna be tough on those slo stangs, vettes and rice burners on the streets in the North East.....

6765 journal bearing. Mods in sig. No times or dyno numbers yet, but should be back on the road soon. I had it out last summer for a couple hundred low-boost miles...so far, its awesome! Looking forward to some track times.

6765 journal S trim with .85 housing. Motor is 274 inch with TA aluminum heads. Comp 210-215 roller cam. PTE slic, 80 lb injectors with TT chip for duel nozzle alky. 70mm throttle body. 3" TH downpipe with 2 1/2" mandral duel exhaust with three mufflers. M/T drag radials. Car weighs 3600 lbs with driver. All runs are with pump gas and alky.

Sea level 58 degrees 10.24 @ 133 at 22lbs boost 1.56 60'

Density alt. about 2500' 90 degrees 10.32 @ 135.7 at 24 lbs boost 1.72 60' with cracked cylinder wall putting water in motor. With to tight a converter.

Density alt. about 1800' 75 degrees 10.12 @ 135.3 at 24 lbs boost 1.55 60' with new PTC converter.

All runs were with a 2 lb launch. This turbo with 274 inches spools like crazy. So far any more than 2 lb launch spins tires off line. Will be working on that this winter so I can go after a 9 sec pass next year.

I don't know what to tell you this would be like on a 231 motor. I had a PT54 turbo on a 231 motor years ago and put it on a 252 motor with everything the same and could tell it spooled quicker. Like they say "There's no substitute for cubic inches." And in this case it didn't go any faster at the track because it had a .63 exhaust housing and went 10.6 @ 126 on either motor, but on the street it felt better with 252 ci because it spooled quicker and felt stronger with more bottom end torque. It also allows you to have a tighter converter.

Come on guys. There have to be more than 7 people out there running a 67 series turbo. I know that I for one am interested in what feedback this thread recieves.

67 hpqe

Got a 67HPQ E cover 3x2 non billet turbo. Stock stroke, 3700 pounds with driver. Running Q-16 fuel, best pass was 9.84 @136

i have a billet 67hpq ball bearing. i don't know much about it other than it's the THS special lol

well i have ran a best of a 10.77 @ 19 psi of boost with it. Had a cam sensor failure cause a serious pop and the oil pressure started dropping so i didn't turn up lol. I spun a main bearing #2 and #3 was on it's way!!!

it spools up just like my old turbo gt6152e with a 3200 stall 9x11

The engine is a girdled 109 stroker 250" Ta alum heads (ported) dls roller cam 214/214 roller rockers chinese atr headers 3 inch down pipe. ported stock intake, and all the other supporting crap that goes with a high 10 second car.

Old school 6776s here. 4" in/2.5"out. 3200 Art Carr. Latest times in sig. Someday I will turn it up, for now it's a fun street car.;)

With an old dinosaur  journal 6776 We made multiple high 10 sec passes in reed0380's marroon t-type about 6 years ago ranging from 126-128mph@3850lbs and boost was never over 27psi. Most passes were around 24-25psi. It was a stock MAF(with one screen)/ecm car too. With lighter cars, more recent tech turbos, much better converter tech, and non stock MAF's cars id expect at least 4 mph more out of it at the same boost levels. If you are running less than that then you have some tuning issues to address. MAJOR NUTZ's sig shows where you should be at 20psi.
