hey guys, i was wondering if any one knew how much to torque the main bearing and rod bolts to, and how much torque the head bolts to, please if any one can help. trying to peice my t-type back together i bought the moter with the heads off.i am changing everything.

Stock torque on the rod bolts are 40ftlbs Mains are 100ftlbs heads, well there is a sequence and 3 steps on torque. 30 then 50 and then 65. That is with NEW stock head bolts and stock Gaskets.It is too hard to explain the torque sequence on the net.It is an x type pattern starting with the one of the long center bolts. All of these torque values are only good if the rods have not been resized and the mains have not been machined before!!! If the rods have been resized, then you need to ask the machinest ( spelling suxs ) what torque he used when he resized the big end of the rod.What ever he used is what you need to torque the rods to.Same goes for the mains.
