K&N oil

[.38 special]

is there a substitute? What do you guys use?
I've heard that you can use tranny fluid, but I don't think this is a good idea. None of the local parts store have any in stock and I just cleaned it.

I know lots of people that just use dishwashing detergent (for hand use not machine use) to clean their filters, and wd40 to oil the filter. They're all cheapskates though.

yeah, I had some cleaner and almost used wd40 but it is just too thin. So I went ahead and drove 35 miles to get some.
Oh well, I've driven farhter to "get some"

Check with your local motorcycle/4wheeler shop. Sometimes they will carry a cheaper oil for two stroke air filters.
After all, your not racing in the dirt........are you?
