Intake Manifold Paint

Now THAT is just too nice to put under the hood of a Buick that is just going to leak oil all over it.;)

belive when I tell you that the powdercoat/clear makes cleanup as simple as wiping it down with a soft cloth.

Did you have the parts bead blasted by the place that did the powdercoating?

Yes, it was baked in an oven to get all the oils out as well as media blasted prior to the powdercoating.

The original manifolds were painted with a clear coating. After awhile the heat discolored them so it looks like they were painted gray or silver.

I stand corrected........

Chris, looks really sharp. What sort of cleaning/prep work did you have to do before painting?

Thanks a lot guys for giving me some direction on this, you guys do quality work. I will post a picture of mine when it is complete.

That's pretty, but I hate you rich guys. :)

its really not that expensive and the results are incredible...i had my valve covers upper and lower intake and turbo shield done for less than you would think, and it probably saved me a couple years of my life, because when i pressurized the line before starting it, one of the injector orings wasn't seated right and sprayed fuel everywhere..paint wouldnt have held up to that mess

It's shade is a bright silver metallic, the clearcoat is what tends to take some of the edge off the brightness.
