How much RWHP to get into the 9's

Ive had mine on both with in a week of each other only change was the the out side temp. 631 on the mustang 628 on the dynojet and it ran a 10.03@139 with a 1.52 60ft.

you need to get the car out better,with a mph of 139 the car should be faster than 10.03

You should be running 9.75ish if your able to trap 139mph.
 
Yeah. You out mph'd the opponent by a good margin. Id bet his 60' was in the 1.30-1.33 range. If you could put down a 1.35 you would go 9.70's

Oh its going to that pass was just playing with it foot brake, 18psi, and pump gas. It was a stock block 355 sbc with a s480, 4l80e, and 3.08 gears. Its being redone now with a dart 400ci engine, solid roller cam, ported dart pro 1 heads, 88mm turbo (may go to a 91 later), 4l80 with a brake trans, liquid to air i/c, and 3.08 gears. I am also going with some new suspention to get the 60 down lower to shoot for some very low 9s to high 8s. I want to drive to the track dump some ice in it and run 9s with out opening the hood.

That's about a 10.20 pass with those numbers. You need to be at a 6.39 to 6.38 in the 1/8th to get into the 9's. If you can get the car to sixty foot into the 1.38 then you could do it with a 6.40 in the 1/8th.

this was the first and the best pass..

I did a good burn out felt strong, I was holding the boost to 5 psi when the light turned green i slamed it, spun a bit then it shout out fast,,
then it seemed like it over reved so i led of for a second or two it shifted into 3rd then i slamed it again felt strong allllllllllllll the way 130.08 MPH

I drove it around my neighbor hood a few miles tranny is getting worst..........
 
Nice mph. I ran a high 10 with a lazy 60 foot and my 1/8 mile mph was 100 and my 1/4 mile mph was 125. Your ride is hauling azz on the top end. Congrats on the first run. It's an animal! Keep us posted after you get a new trans!

hello its been a long time since i posted just made some pulls in the dyno

91 and alky
only 19 psi
21 timming fat tune
668 rwhp
runs strong

will do more tunning soon with q16
also im just learning all this and of course im not tunning my self...

I agree. I made 390 HP to the tire and everyone was acting like I need to change stuff. I was happy that the car was running good and left it alone. The next weekend I went to the track and ran a 10.94 @122

To run 9's in a full weight car, Roughly 700 give or take. I knew a guy who made a little over 700 in his 1999 heavy 6 speed Camaro and was able to dip into the 9's
 
I got some more tunning today by cal hartline 25psi 91 and alky 713RWHP,, 28psi with q16 770RWHP thanks lots to Pete,joe ,gran beto and Harold Jeff cal and all the otHer guys....
