How do I disconnect cruise control?

Couldn't see anything via the search function. Any ideas, also be interested in how it works as well as I believe mine is faulty?

There is a little wire coming down the back of the cruise control/turn signal lever that runs down the column. Jiggle it and find it at the other end then disconnect it at the bottom of the column. If all you want to do is disable it that should do it.

You could also prob take the cable off the tb
